I’m Trish!
... former stylist to the stars, rain-lovin’ California girl, unapologetic introvert and gluten-free, chocolate chip cookie aficionado!
It should come as *no* shocker to you that I grew up super-duper obsessed with clothes – I dreamed of going to fashion school (check!), styling celebrities (check!) and buying all the pointy-toed shoes I could fit into my closet (my husband would say- check, check! but I say I'm still working on the last one)…
But as glam as all that sounds, it took me *forever* to realize that...
My confidence had been at an all-time zero throughout most of my life.
In fact, I'd been using clothes as a band-aid to cover up my insecurities and show up “comfortably” in my career, in my body and in my life – but all I was doing was trying to please everyone else.
For the longest time, I wasn’t showing up with my truest, Trish-est personality.
I mean, I’d lie awake thinking about how…
- I felt fat - (uh – I was 60 lbs lighter than I am now), hustle became my priority over my health and wanted to use style to mask that...
- I was *so* uncomfortable with any kind of attention (I’m an introvert to the core!), but I knew I had to step up if I wanted to succeed...
- I thought no one cared about what I wanted to say…
- I was terrified of posting on social media or using video (wouldn’t everyone judge me for it??)
- I felt like an impostor in my industry and was destined to fail (cue the night sweats)...
But I knew that to make a powerful shift, I had to summon some courage to start using my voice *and dressing* for ME.
So I said goodbye to my celebrity client list, stopped hiding in my clothes, started buying only what *felt* right and *fun*, created my signature style and started putting it out into the world…
And guess what happened?
All of a sudden -
I started attracting my ideal clients (soul-aligned entrepreneurs who wanted more confidence)...
I could create specific offers *because* my audience became more specific and in line with who I wanted to serve (I created my own online program!)
I kicked my negative self-talk out the door and only let in the California sunshine (buh-bye, self-sabotage!)
I grew my community of entrepreneurs who have helped propel me towards success…
All because I recognized that in order to truly help the people I wanted, I *needed* to be rooted in a body that I loved and dressed with joy.
And now I’m a confident, passionate, visible entrepreneur (I’m rocking Instagram stories daily – Trish two years ago would be so proud) – I’m doing it all and loving what I see in the mirror, all at a size 12!
So, while my days of choosing bling for Ariana Grande’s outfit at the VMA’s are behind me…
